Republic of Green is hiring a Manufacturing Operator in Clarksville, TN. The role involves operating machinery, maintaining production efficiency, and ensuring product quality. The job offers night or day shifts with a starting pay of $17.00-$19.00/hr, increasing based on performance.
Shift: Nights 545pm-6am or Days 545am-6pm, 2-2-3 fixed schedule (Shift placement will be based on position availability)Direct Report: Manufacturing Group LeaderCompensation: Starting range for qualified candidates is $17.00-$19.00/hr dependent on prior experience in a manufacturing environment with performance based step increases up to $23.20 top out (including $2.00/hr night-shift premium) in as early as 6-15 months.About the Manufacturing Operator positionWe are looking for a Manufacturing Operator to help us set up, maintain and operate machinery. Your duties will include ensuring the uninterrupted running of production, maintaining the level of efficiency and quality, and collaborating with co-workers to help your team achieve high levels of productivity.You should be reliable and able to work with attention to detail and safety standards, as well as a willingness to learn and improve. We also expect you to be a good team player.Manufacturing Operator responsibilities areOperate a machine in order to produce quality materialsCheck the quality of products along the production processObserve 5S in order to improve the workplace and avoid errorsManage base materials using the FIFO (first in, first out) methodEnter and locate data on a computerRead and interpret specifications and measuring devicesSeparate defective products; report to the immediate superior if any product or process nonconformity is detectedPrepare machines to start a production cycle, performing calibration, cleaning and other activitiesMonitor and properly adjust machine settingsSupply raw material or parts to semi-automated machinesCheck parts with precision, using appropriate measuring toolsConduct tests to check the operation of machines, on a regular basisTroubleshoot issues that might occur during the shiftVerify output to detect any machine-related mistakes or flawsCreate and manage records of approved and defective units or final productsCreate and maintain activity logsAdhere to health and safety regulationsManufacturing Operator requirements areEducation(Required) High School Diploma or combination of experience and educationExperience(Preferred) At least 1 year manufacturing experiencePhysical DemandsWhile performing the duties of this job, employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to handle or feel; to reach with hands and arms; and to talk and hearMust be capable of climbing up and down a ladder/stairs several times per shiftMust be capable of standing for long periods of timeMobility throughout the facilityEmployee is occasionally required to stand and stoop, kneel, walk, or crouchEmployee must lift and/or move up to 50 pounds unassisted on occasionSpecific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focusHankook Tire is an equal opportunity employer.
