Job Overview

As a key member of our Asset Management Team, the Sr. Renewables Networks Engineer will play a critical role in driving the strategy and execution of operational technology (OT) solutions across our portfolio of dynamic utility-scale energy storage projects.

We are seeking a highly experienced Sr. Renewables Networks Engineer with expertise in OT network engineering, commissioning, site reviews, and project execution. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of utility-scale renewable energy grid-tied inverter software and hardware solutions, as well as experience in diagnosing network performance issues using packet analysis tools like Wireshark and NMAP.
Responsibilities:
• Acts as an SME for all network management, control center design, telecommunication engineering, and operational technology
• Takes ownership of control systems architecture, integrations, algorithms, network models, and conceptual design build outs based on ISO/RTO requirements
• Leads the design and configuration of LANs and WANs networking systems for project integrated hardware such as firewalls, routers, switches, servers, and supporting wireless tech

The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator with excellent technical writing skills, able to provide clear and concise documentation of technical assessments and recommendations. They will also have experience with cybersecurity practices and principles, including NERC/CIP and NIST standards.
