Job Description

STX Commodities is seeking a Renewable Energy Trader and Market Analyst in Mexico City. The role involves creating market models for energy attribute certificates, managing risk, and analyzing renewable energy markets. Candidates should have 2-5 years of options trading experience, proficiency in Python and R, and a relevant degree. About Our Team

You will leverage innovative analytical tools, manage energy attribute certificate risk, and forecast renewable energy trends as part of a globally integrated trading team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Create and maintain energy attribute certificate market models to predict price fluctuations and identify trading opportunities.
• Develop and refine quantitative tools to enhance the desk's analytical capabilities.
• Manage risk in local and international energy attribute certificates within established parameters.
• Analyze renewable energy markets, identifying key drivers behind energy attribute certificate supply and demand.
• Identify areas for automation and process improvement and support ad-hoc impact assessments and analysis related to the energy attribute certificate market and trading strategies.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
• 2-5 years of experience in options trading, showcasing a proven track record in derivatives markets, particularly in challenging OTC markets.
• A passion for organizing, structuring, and visualizing complex quantitative problems.
• Advanced proficiency in Python and R; Excel, SQL, VBA are advantageous.
• A genuine interest in markets and a willingness to develop in-depth knowledge of environmental commodity markets.
• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Science, Engineering, or related fields, complemented by excellent English language proficiency.
• Currently residing in or open to relocating to Mexico City.
