Renewable Energy Technician Lead

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Solar Technician 3 to join our team at MN8 Energy. As a key member of our field operations, you will be responsible for performing electrical and mechanical services, ensuring all equipment operates at the highest level, and providing leadership and training to other field positions.
Key Accountabilities
• Ensure all tasks assigned are completed with integrity, initiative, work ethic, and commitment to safety and quality.
• Participate in regular safety training and ensure understanding of all safety policies and procedures.
• Lead and train junior technicians in the area, promoting a culture of safety and quality.
• Conduct Preventive and Corrective Maintenance on solar, energy storage, and EV charging installations in accordance with MN8 and OEM standards.
• Troubleshoot complex issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective repairs to restore equipment functionality.
• Ensure accurate completion of all required documentation, checklists, timecards, and photography for work performed.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues and improve overall performance.
Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Criminal background and motor vehicle record check required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills essential.
• Basic computer operation skills and familiarity with internet-based program navigation necessary.
• Proven experience understanding and implementing OSHA regulations.
• Ability to read, interpret, and understand basic design drawings and schematics.
• Intermediate to advanced electrical theory knowledge required.
• Knowledge of IV Curve tracing and ability to perform and interpret results.
