Our client, a leader in the renewable energy sector, is seeking an accomplished and driven Renewable Energy Project Manager to oversee the development and execution of utility-scale solar projects. This critical role involves managing all phases of project lifecycles, from initial site assessment and permitting through construction, commissioning, and handover. You will be responsible for developing detailed project plans, managing budgets, coordinating with cross-functional teams (engineering, procurement, construction), and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of solar energy technologies, project finance, regulatory requirements, and construction management principles. Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills are essential. You will manage relationships with external stakeholders, including landowners, local authorities, EPC contractors, and utility companies. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, the ability to navigate complex challenges, and a proven track record of successfully managing large-scale infrastructure projects. Experience with risk management and contract negotiation is highly valued. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage the full lifecycle of renewable energy projects, from inception to completion. Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation. Oversee site selection, feasibility studies, and permitting processes. Coordinate and manage EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) contractors and vendors. Ensure projects comply with all relevant regulations, environmental standards, and safety protocols. Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies. Manage project budgets, track expenditures, and ensure financial targets are met. Facilitate communication and collaboration among internal teams, stakeholders, and external partners. Oversee project commissioning, testing, and final handover. Prepare regular project reports for senior management and stakeholders. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Environmental Science, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management within the energy sector, specifically with renewable energy projects (solar preferred). Proven experience managing utility-scale projects from development through construction. Strong knowledge of solar technology, project finance, and relevant regulatory frameworks. Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera). Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, timelines, and complex project challenges. Experience with contract negotiation and vendor management. Ability to travel as required for project site visits and meetings.
