Job Description

The Renewable Energy Project Director will oversee the successful management of Solar, BESS, and Microgrid projects. Key responsibilities include design review, procurement, construction, testing, commissioning, and turnover.
• Project Planning: Establish project objectives, develop project plans, and create budgets and schedules.
• Team Management: Provide direction to the project team to ensure satisfactory performance through all phases of the project.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with VEP standards, client relations, cost controls, financial management, and safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage construction projects for the installation of Photo Voltaic, Battery Energy Storage Systems, Microgrid, and other Distributed/Onsite Energy Systems.
• Review subcontractor and vendor Shop Drawings to ensure conformity with VEP specifications.
• Create scopes of work and issue RFPs from trades/subcontractors.
• Schedule and witness all inspections, ensuring permits are properly closed out once passed.
• Assist with utility interconnection and state incentive paperwork.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in project management.
• Electrical experience preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
