Job Description

The JPI Group is seeking a Renewable Energy Program Manager in Franklin Park, IL, to lead solar program design and implementation, focusing on equitable access for income-eligible households. Responsibilities include managing program execution, ensuring client satisfaction, overseeing a team, and collaborating with various stakeholders. Candidates should have a relevant degree and experience in solar programs. Local travel up to 10% may be required.
About the Role

We are excited to invite a dedicated Program Manager to our Energy Management team. In this role, you will spearhead the design, implementation, delivery, and ongoing enhancement of solar programs with a strong emphasis on ensuring equitable access to renewable energy for income-eligible households and communities.

Your Responsibilities:
• Lead the execution of the program, aiming to meet annual goals for participation, savings, budget, and equity.
• Ensure high client satisfaction, targeting a score of 9/10 or higher.
• Deliver program satisfaction rates of 8.5/10 or better.
• Oversee full lifecycle implementation of the program.
• Interpret and implement state program rules, incentive structures, and evolving policies.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with Approved Vendors, Community-Based Organizations (CBOs), developers, and other market players.
• Provide training, technical support, and resources to stakeholders.
• Handle application reviews, income-eligibility processes, budget tracking, and reporting.
• Prepare weekly updates, monthly reports, and quarterly presentations.
• Ensure accuracy in energy production calculations and incentive eligibility.
• Supervise a team of 25 Full-Time Equivalents (FTEs), with potential expansion.
• Conduct regular one-on-one meetings with staff and perform bi-annual staff reviews.
• Manage performance, recognizing high achievers while addressing areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with Engineering, QA/QC, and Evaluation teams.
• Lead the annual planning and budgeting process.

What We Require:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Public Policy, Sustainability, Business, or a related field.
• Experience with solar programs, renewable energy policy, or program administration.
• Strong understanding of solar PV development.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in budget and staff management.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Able to interpret and apply policy to operational contexts.
• Strong team management skills and precise client management abilities.

What We Prefer:
• 5+ years of experience with solar or utility programs.
• Experience in income-qualified programs or diversity-focused initiatives.
• Familiarity with Illinois solar programs.
• Experience with CRM and project tracking platforms.
• Knowledge of solar economics and incentive modeling.
• Local travel up to 10% may be required.
