About the Role

ACORE is seeking a seasoned communications professional to lead its communications department as Vice President of Communications. This strategic role requires expertise in developing, implementing, and evaluating overall communications strategies.

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent oral and written communication skills, and the ability to translate complex information into clean, concise, and engaging copy. They should have a proven track record of managing budgets and vendors, as well as experience developing and implementing communications strategies.

Key Responsibilities
• Develop and implement overall communications strategies
• Lead the creation of content for core member and external communications products
• Serve as a spokesperson and primary point of contact for press
• Manage ACORE's press list and media relationships
• Develop letters to the editor and op-eds
• Ensure that all content produced by ACORE aligns with the organization's voice and brand

Requirements
• 10+ years of experience in a senior communications role
• Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, journalism, or related discipline
• Previous supervisory experience
• Possess knowledge of the clean energy industry
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to translate complex information into clean, concise, and engaging copy
