Project Finance Manager

We are seeking a Project Finance Manager to join our team in Italy.
Your Tasks:
• Provide valuation and structuring guidance throughout business development and M&A process, advising on competitive sell-side processes, offers evaluation, commercial agreements, risk allocation, bankability of contracts (including PPAs), financing alternatives, and expected investment returns.
• Lead the financial modeling and analysis supporting investment decisions for project development, sale, and financing and opportunities.
• Organize and conduct the process for assets sale and lender selection, including preparing teasers, IMs, and participating in the outreach.
• Manage multiple parties including investors, banks, consultants, lawyers as well as internal stakeholders to bring transactions to successful close.
• Actively engage with prospective counterparties to clarify project valuation, risk allocation, assumptions, and market perspectives.
• Collect and analyze relevant data such as energy price curves, PPA assumptions, tax, financial inputs etc., using analytical tools and advanced models in order to create financial model assumption, predicting and qualifying risk and profitability.
• Gather & handle financial modeling data with accuracy in order to help Juwi team with investment decisions for project development and acquisition opportunities.
• Define and support internal stakeholders in the energy sale strategy for each project (PPA vs merchant approach, auctions pricing definition).
• Develop creative financing strategies and examine the most competitive sources of funding.
• Support Juwi team in clarifying project valuation, risk allocation, assumptions, and market perspectives.
• Lead the negotiation of key financial terms of the transaction documents.
• Support and engage with the Corporate Finance team in accounting, controlling, and treasury matters, including participating to Annual Budget definition, reporting to shareholders, pipeline management.
• Cooperate with Juwi's Finance Managers in the EMEA region, to maintain financial model assumptions, while retaining responsibility for the accuracy and correct incorporation of relevant inputs to such models (energy price curves, PPA assumptions, tax, financial inputs etc.) for Italy.
Your Profile:
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Accounting, or Engineering.
• Masters, MBA, CFA, CPA, and/or equivalent certifications are an advantage.
• 5 years of demonstrated expertise in developing and utilizing detailed financial models, including a project finance and accounting component.
• Knowledge of the merchant power markets drivers and hedging instruments.
• Knowledge of Tax structures and Accounting requirements is an asset.
• Strong understanding of IFRS accounting topics.
• Experience structuring and closing M&A and/or financing transactions, including reviewing and negotiating legal documentation.
• Experience conducting investment analysis in the clean energy sector at a developer, fund, bank, or consultant is considered an asset.
• Strong analytical skills, capability to drive insights from complex models.
• Strong communication skills, ability to summarize complex investment cases.
• Ability to handle multiple assignments concurrently with a high degree of accuracy.
• Ability to work in a time-sensitive environment with non-flexible deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team-based environment.
