Responsibilities You'll Own:
• Conduct thorough site assessments to evaluate project feasibility and identify potential challenges.
• Develop detailed site plans that incorporate grading, drainage, and erosion control measures.
• Design stormwater management systems that comply with local and state regulations.
• Prepare construction documents and specifications for bidding and construction purposes.
• Manage permitting processes and ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
• Collaborate with clients, contractors, and utility companies to ensure successful project execution.

Qualifications That Will Set You Apart:

Must-Haves:
• A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is essential.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in site engineering, with a strong emphasis on site plans and site development.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D.
• A deep understanding of site plan design, grading, drainage, and erosion control best practices.
• Ability to perform stormwater and hydraulic calculations.
• Familiarity with environmental regulations and permitting processes, including the State Environmental Quality Review (SEQR) and Department of Environmental Conservation stormwater permitting in New York State.

Highly Desired:
• Experience with renewable energy projects, particularly in the solar space, is a major plus.
• 5+ years of experience specifically with site development and Civil 3D design in New York State.
• EIT or PE certification.
• Strong knowledge of the design, production, and implementation of renewable energy development projects.
