Renewable Energy Director

Optimal Facility Management Solutions is seeking a Renewable Energy Director in Chicago, IL to lead utility-scale renewable projects in the PJM territory. JOB DESCRIPTION

Optimal Facility Management Solutions, LLC ("OFMS"), a managed institutional commodities firm, seeks a Renewable Energy Director to spearhead the development of utility-scale renewable projects within the PJM territory.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage wind and/or solar projects within the PJM market, and in the future, ERCOT and SPP markets
Lead development activities across all stages of projects
Identify development prospects through market assessments, fatal flaw identification, and initial site reconnaissance
Secure site control for development prospects by negotiating leases, easements, and other agreements with landowners
Play a leading role in obtaining necessary permits from local, state, and federal authorities
Represent OFMS to customers, landowners, state and local officials, and other stakeholders
Initiate and oversee generation interconnection activities
Supervise project design
Manage tasks in accordance with budgets and schedules, including the coordination of internal and external technical support
REQUIRED SKLLS
Bachelor's degree
8+ years' experience in energy project development, transmission, or power project engineering
Excellent organizational, networking, leadership, time management, and accounting skills
Strong public speaking and interpersonal communication
Ability to write effective and concise reports
Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites
Salary: DOE
