We are seeking an experienced Renewable Energy Design Expert to join our team at Black & Veatch. As a key member of our engineering group, you will be responsible for designing and developing complex design concepts and deliverables in the field of renewable energy.
• *Key Responsibilities:**
• Apply basic engineering principles and established design practices in developing moderately complex design concepts and deliverables.
• Perform design calculations, detailed material quantities and estimates, and records.
• Use advanced applications (e.g., modeling and design software) in performance of work provided.
• *Required Skills and Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in an engineering design-related technology or equivalent experience.
• Typically a minimum of 11 years related work experience.
• Advanced knowledge of utility scale solar design, including cable routing and installation requirements.
• Ability to produce physical designs from scope documents.
• Advanced knowledge of the following codes and application of their requirements to utility scale solar plants: IEEE, NEC, NESC, NEMA, NFPA.
