Your Role and Responsibilities:

As a Renewable Energy Control Operator, you will be responsible for monitoring and managing our biomass production processes. Your tasks will include:
• Utilizing HMI tools to oversee incoming fiber, manage drying processes, and coordinate pellet production and railcar loading.
• Ensuring a safe working environment by communicating safety-related concerns to plant employees and leadership.
• Maintaining high standards of housekeeping within the department.
• Completing required safety training and actively participating in the Drax OH&S Committee.
• Providing leadership and support in compliance with safety, production, quality, and operating procedures.
• Handling emergency conditions calmly and providing troubleshooting guidance to plant employees.
• Mentoring and training peers and new operators in the Plant Operator Development Program.
• Monitoring operational parameters like moisture content, temperatures, and in-feed speeds to optimize production.
• Conducting moisture testing and preparing necessary reports.
• Communicating fiber needs effectively with Loader Operators and Production Team Leads to ensure smooth operations.

Who You Are:

We're looking for individuals with:
• A commitment to safety and excellent team collaboration skills.
• Ability to adapt to changes in work schedules or tasks.
• A high school diploma or equivalent; experience in heavy industry operations is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Good mechanical aptitude and a valid driver's license.
