Your responsibilities include:
Monitoring all incoming fiber and managing the drying processes and pellet production, ensuring safe movement of pellets into railcars.Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization within the control room in collaboration with team members.Utilizing Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for all chemicals and ensuring all staff are trained in their use.Completing all requirements for the Plant Operator Development Program.Communicating effectively via company radio, following usage procedures.Actively participating in the Occupational Health & Safety Committee.Providing leadership throughout all processes, emphasizing compliance with safety, production, quality, and operating policies.Maintaining composure and direction during emergency situations, possible evacuations, or unsafe conditions.Troubleshooting production issues and guiding plant employees appropriately.Delivering training and mentorship to peers and new Operators.Playing an active role in training for mobile equipment operation, confined spaces, and hazard identification.Assisting in incident and accident investigations when required.Coordinating holiday schedules to ensure continuous plant coverage.Liaising with various departments including HR, Safety, Training, and Management.Leading safe operations of all equipment related to pellet production, monitoring all relevant parameters.Adjusting in-feed mixes and directing Loader Operators based on fiber types and moisture levels.Continuously monitoring and analyzing the Human-Machine Interface (HMI) system.Conducting shift handovers, reviewing fiber mixes, equipment efficiencies, and potential issues with cross-shift Operators.Coordinating with Loader Operators and Production Team Leads to ensure adequate fiber supply for ongoing production.Communicating and managing housekeeping needs to keep the pellet mill clean and control dust levels.Conducting moisture content testing and completing necessary reports.Directing the loading of rail cars according to operational schedules.Who you are:
A proficient operator of mobile equipment with a commitment to safety.Able to complete basic forms and checklists related to cleanup and rail car loading.Flexible and adaptable to changes in work tasks and schedules.A collaborative team player with strong interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.Experience in heavy industry operations is a plus.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.A good mechanical aptitude.Valid Driver's License.The Benefits:
