About the position

The Renewable Energy Applications Engineer position is a permanent role based in Duluth, Georgia, focused on providing technical support for inverter system products in the renewable energy sector. The engineer will serve as the technical point of contact for commercial and industrial customers, working closely with various stakeholders including sales teams and third-party engineers. The role requires significant experience in energy production, design, and grid connection of solar PV and energy storage systems, with a travel requirement of up to 50%.

Responsibilities
• Product Management of PV, Storage, and microgrid portfolios and strategies for customers.
,
• Supports the sales team in pre-sales technical support, and post-sales technical support.
,
• Creates high-level technical documentation to support installations, operational plans, and customer training.
,
• Attends industry trade shows.
,
• Leads product certification to the latest UL standards.
,
• Interprets UL, IEC, NEC, and other regulatory requirements and provides input to the company's product line.

Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.

• 10+ years of experience with inverters, energy production, design, and/or grid connection of Solar PV, Energy Storage, or MicroGrid Systems.

• Experience with UL1741SB & UL9540.

Nice-to-haves
• Experience with power electronics.
,
• Knowledge of battery technologies.
,
• Familiarity with NEC regulations.
