David Evans and Associates, Inc. is seeking a Civil Engineer for their Renewable Energy and Power division in Everett, WA. The role involves designing civil activities for renewable energy projects, ensuring project schedules, and collaborating with a multi-discipline team. Our Energy Business Unit is seeking a talented Civil Engineer to work within a multi-discipline team to develop efficient and reliable design of civil activities. The Engineer will coordinate his/her design activities to maintain project schedules and ensure successful project execution for renewable energy and power delivery projects throughout the Midwest and western United States.

About The Role
The location for this hybrid-friendly position is flexible with a preference for individuals who are based near one of DEA’s offices in California, Colorado, Idaho, Oregon, Texas, Utah, or Washington. Fully remote also a consideration. Some travel for project execution may be required.
Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To The Following
• Performs all aspects of renewable and power civil and site design, including preparation of TESC, SWPPP, Site Layout, Grading, Drainage, Paving, and Utility drawings, coordination with structural engineer on, foundation designs, and coordination with electrical engineer on equipment placement and site layout constraints. Preparation of permitting documentation and stormwater drainage reports.
• Understand and participate in Hydrology modeling for flood plain and storm event modeling of proposed condition.
• Shall understand and adhere to client standards and processes while working individually or within a team to complete complex and technically challenging designs
• Reviewing internal and external designs for code compliance, good design practice and constructability,
• Preparing project specifications for material and equipment purchase and installation,
• Resolving site queries, attending site meetings and performing site inspections during the construction phase of projects,
• Maintaining complete project documentation with respect to civil design and construction, including all completion packages and as-built requirements
• Perform QA/QC for deliverables to clients
• Support the mentorship and training of other team members
• Making and maintaining appropriate commitments to project teams and coordinating design activities with multi-disciplined project team members
• Maintaining good working relationships with internal groups that support projects such as Procurement, Drafting, Project Management, etc.
• Maintaining good working relationships with clients, material suppliers, contractors, and any others that affect the quality, schedule and cost of projects
Basic Qualifications
• BSCE (Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering) degree from an ABET accredited university.
• 5+ years of civil design experience
• Proficiency with civil and stormwater design software
• Working knowledge of the 3d modeling and analysis within AutoCad Civil 3D
• Registered Professional Engineer in the United States or in the process of achieving

Salary Range: $85,000 – $156,000 commensurate with qualifications and experience; will vary by location.
