Job Description
Madison Approach is hiring a Renewable Energy Advisor II for a 12-month contract in White Plains, NY. The role involves supporting renewable energy initiatives through financial analysis, project evaluation, and stakeholder coordination. Candidates should have a relevant degree, 5-10 years of experience in project finance, and strong analytical skills. The position is hybrid, requiring 2+ days onsite each week.
Renewable Energy Advisor
Contract Duration: 12 months
Location: White Plains, NY (Hybrid with 2+ days onsite required)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Renewable Energy Advisor to join our team and support our renewable energy initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of project development and management, renewable energy offtake agreements, long-term financial planning, and energy policy.
Responsibilities:
• Provide due diligence and financial analysis support for renewable energy project offtake negotiations, project financing, asset valuation, and acquisitions.
• Develop and maintain complex financial models for renewable energy projects.
• Facilitate and develop models identifying funding and capital needs for long-term financial planning.
• Evaluate project economics, including cost estimates, revenue projections, and return on investment (ROI) calculations.
• Assess the feasibility of renewable energy projects and guide decision-making processes.
• Stay abreast of advancements in renewable energy technologies and policy/regulatory impacts.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to drive project outcomes.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, accounting, or a business-related field.
• MBA or Graduate Degree in Finance or another business-related field is preferred.
• 5-10 years of experience in power/utility or project finance.
• Strong financial modeling and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft
Office products.

• Detail-oriented with superior data analytical abilities.
• Solid verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle a significant workload and fast-paced environment.
• Ability to analyze financial and operational data.
• Professional presence and ability to communicate effectively to senior staff.
