Our client is a rapidly growing renewable energy firm seeking a motivated and experienced Remote Renewable Energy Project Developer to identify, evaluate, and secure new project opportunities across the nation. This fully remote position offers the flexibility to work from anywhere within the US. You will be responsible for all stages of project development, from initial site identification and feasibility studies to permitting, interconnection, and securing power purchase agreements. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of solar, wind, or other renewable energy technologies, coupled with exceptional business development, negotiation, and project management skills. Responsibilities include conducting market research to identify promising regions and sites, building and maintaining relationships with landowners, local authorities, and utility representatives, preparing detailed project proposals and financial models, and collaborating with internal engineering and legal teams to advance projects through the development pipeline. A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Business, or a related field is required; a Master's degree is a plus. Minimum of 7 years of experience in renewable energy project development, with a proven track record of successfully bringing projects from conception to financial close, is essential. Strong understanding of renewable energy policy, incentives, and regulatory frameworks is crucial. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are vital for effective stakeholder engagement in this remote capacity.
