We are seeking a Remote Project Manager in Central IL, responsible for overseeing multiple residential and commercial photovoltaic (PV) projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of both internal and external stakeholders.
Open to candidates with various types of experience including project management, project estimating, or project coordinating backgrounds. Ideally in construction, capital equipment, electrical-based projects, and grain systems.
We Offer a competitive salary of $70,000.00 to 90,000.00, health, dental, and vision insurance, 401k with a match, a company vehicle, and PTO
Focus Areas
• Effectively communicate with customers and subcontractors to ensure clear understanding of project goals and requirements.
• Manage the budget and schedule of assigned projects, from inception to closeout, while striving to achieve 100% customer satisfaction.
• Perform risk analysis and forecasting to minimize negative impacts on company objectives.
• Utilize knowledge of system delivery milestones to optimize costs.
• Oversee and negotiate with multiple subcontractors to ensure efficient project execution.
• Independently manage solar construction projects of various sizes and complexities, adhering to company processes and procedures.
• Understand and utilize project management processes and tools, including scheduling, financial reporting and analyzing contracts.
• Manage all financial aspects of projects, including budget tracking, financial reporting, and mitigation of changes.
• Address client and subcontractor concerns promptly and effectively.
• Facilitate and lead productive meetings to drive project progress.
• Works with utilities for interconnection applications, job-related power outages, and job site inspections.
• Collaborates with local townships and counties for zoning and permitting applications.
• Prepare project baseline schedules and updates and utilize data to substantiate delays and impacts.
• Track field productivity and implement corrective actions to protect project budgets and profits.
• Be mindful of project safety, assisting in regular audits and investigations, and contributing positively to the company's safety culture.
• Identify project impacts and delays, notify stakeholders per contract requirements, and prepare detailed documentation for claims submission.
• Proactively solve problems, understand root causes, develop solutions, and ensure implementation.
• Manage complex project concepts to achieve successful outcomes.
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• Valid State Driver’s License, required.
• Bachelor’s degree in directly related discipline.
• Three to five years project management experience.
• MIOSHA Certification, i.e., OSHA 30, etc.
• Knowledge of construction and solar systems, preferred
• 50% day travel, and 25% overnight travel
