Location: Germany (Remote)

Contract: 6-12 months

About the Role:

We're a renewable energy consultancy working on solar, wind, and hydrogen projects across Europe. We're seeking a freelance Mechanical Engineer to join us remotely from within Germany.

You'll help design, analyze, and optimize mechanical systems and work closely with cross-functional teams across the EU.

What You'll Do:
• Design and assess mechanical components for renewable energy systems
• Run simulations (CFD, FEA), review drawings and specs
• Collaborate with engineers and project managers
• Deliver reports and documentation in English and German
• Requirements:
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSc/MSc)
• 3+ years of experience, including at least 1 year as a freelancer
• Proficiency with CAD (SolidWorks/AutoCAD) and simulation tools
• Strong knowledge of renewable systems (wind, solar, thermal)
• Fluent in German and English
• Nice to Have:
• Familiarity with German renewable regulations (EEG)
• Experience with EU energy or sustainability projects
