Apex Companies, LLC is seeking an Environmental Remediation Technician with 6-8 years of experience to operate and maintain environmental remediation systems in Signal Hill, CA. Responsibilities include troubleshooting systems, conducting inspections, and collecting samples. Location: Signal Hill, CA.
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday.
Pay Range: $30.00 – $40.00 per hour (based on experience).

We’re looking for an experienced and motivated Environmental Remediation Technician with 6–8 years of hands-on expertise to join our team in Signal Hill! In this role, you’ll take the lead on operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting a wide range of environmental remediation systems. You’ll get to work with everything from stormwater treatment systems to oil & gas equipment, while putting your skills to the test on mechanical components like pumps, blowers, and thermal/catalytic oxidizers. Key Responsibilities:
• Install, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot environmental remediation systems.
• Conduct regular system O&M (operations and maintenance) tasks.
• Collect and document soil, groundwater, and vapor samples.
• Perform field inspections and gather system data in a clean and organized format.
• Support optimization efforts for systems such as SVE (soil vapor extraction), thermal/catalytic oxidizers, groundwater extraction units, and product recovery systems.
• Install and maintain groundwater extraction pumps.
• Travel to various local remediation sites as needed.
• Operate field instrumentation including water quality meters, pressure/vacuum gauges, PID/FIDs, and other gas detection tools.
• Partner with engineers and project managers to ensure systems are functioning safely and efficiently.
• Understand and comply with all permit requirements related to system operation. Take ownership of your professional development and career advancement.

What You'll Bring:
• High school diploma or GED required.
• 6–8 years of direct experience in environmental remediation, system maintenance, and data collection.
• OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification is required.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 60 lbs., working in confined spaces, and operating in various weather conditions.
• Reliable work history with strong attendance and professional references.
• Clean background and drug screening results.
• Dependable transportation. Strong commitment to safety protocols and procedures.
