Job Description
The Regulatory Lead for the Mount Nansen Remediation project at True Environmental is responsible for managing environmental assessments, permitting, and regulatory compliance. The role requires collaboration with technical teams, government, and stakeholders, along with developing project schedules and ensuring compliance with environmental health and safety standards. A minimum of 12 years of experience in environmental permitting is required. The position is based in Salmon Creek, WA, with potential site travel.
Regulatory Lead - Mount Nansen Remediation LP
Reporting to the Project Director – Mount Nansen, the Regulatory Lead is responsible for providing leadership and management of all planning studies, environmental assessments, permitting and regulatory requirements for the Mount Nansen Remediation project. RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provides direction to all activities related to planning studies, environmental assessments and permit applications for the Mount Nansen Remediation Project.
• Provides regulatory leadership for the Mount Nansen Remediation Project from planning through execution and completion.
• Work collaboratively with technical teams and proactively identify opportunities to improve project environmental design aspects and streamline regulatory processes.
• Develops an integrated project schedule including the critical path for the end-to-end tasks and activities necessary to successfully execute the project.
• Interface and communicate with various levels of government, stakeholders and communities to advance permitting and WUL activities.
• Represent MNRLP in regulatory and community meetings, workshops and events and oversee the preparation of presentation materials.
• Keep abreast of existing and pending legislation and regulation changes which may impact the project. Coordinate and disseminate regulatory information within the JV.
• Conducts senior reviews of technical deliverables and programs in area(s) of expertise.
• Supports risk analysis with project management.
• Monitor and promote system environmental health and worker safety compliance.
• Completes other projects, reporting and tasks as assigned.
• All other related duties as required.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
• University degree or a combination of education and equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 12 years of environmental permitting experience.
• Experience working in environmental consulting or project consulting settings.
• Experience in building relationships and engaging with First Nations and all levels of Government.
• Knowledge of and experience in Yukon’s and BC’s (and other jurisdictions) impact assessment and licensing regime for resource development projects.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Work is performed within broad authority, receiving little direction. Responsible for leading and achieving plans based on the strategic priorities of the organization worldwide. Work is assessed based on objectives critical to the function’s success. Follows, and in some cases, establishes guidelines and precedents for decision-making. Work impacts on the results of the function and on the ongoing financial and operational effectiveness.

• Site travel may be required to multiple locations.

$110,000 - $183,000 a year
