Job Description

TriHealth, Inc. is hiring a Registered Nurse for Internal Medicine in Cincinnati, OH. The role involves providing nursing services, conducting assessments, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to deliver patient care. Candidates need an Associate's Degree in Nursing, Ohio licensure, and 1-2 years of nursing experience. Responsibilities include planning and evaluating care plans, implementing interventions, and maintaining documentation. This position is not remote.
Job Overview:

This position provides nursing services, either directly or indirectly, to participants in a specific program, specialty department, or practice. This position does initial assessments, and regular re-assessments: provides ongoing nursing services, works as part of an interdisciplinary team, focuses on prevention, early detection, acute and chronic illness. In the event an RN from a physician practice works in an inpatient area, s/he will have the capability to write verbal orders, enter orders, and pend access notes, and will be required to attend physician THC training.

Job Requirements:

Associate's Degree or Diploma in Nursing

For Breast Center positions, Certified Breast Care Nurse (ONCC) is required within one year of hire

Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS) Registered Nurse

Current Ohio licensure

Knowledge of the specialty or population served

Ability to work effectively on a multi-disciplinary team

1-2 years experience in Nursing

Job Responsibilities:

Plans care for participants and family based on assessment, standards of care and optimal outcomes. Initiates and individualizes appropriate patient care guidelines, POC or clinical pathways. Maintains current plan of care by updating as needed. Develops both short and long term goals. Participates as member of Interdisciplinary Team by identifying caregiver and participant needs, recommending interventions and collaborating with other health care team members for mutually determined solutions.

Performs technical skills according to hospital's and department's policies/procedures, appropriate competencies, and accepted standards of practice.

Implements POC. Prioritizes workload according to participants needs and requests. Bases interventions on clinical data, desired outcomes, the nursing process, and standards of care. Documents interventions and outcomes. Utilizes critical thinking skills in daily care including accurately receiving, interpreting and executing physician orders.

Evaluates the plan of care based on optimal patient outcomes. Documents the participant / family response to care including teaching. Collaborates with other members of the health care team to revise plan of care as needed. Supervises the care that was delegated to other health care team members.

Demonstrates organizations responsibilities: Identifies areas for self improvement, functions in relief charge / resource role as requested, completes assignments within scheduled timeframes, cooperates with instructor to facilitate effective learning experiences for students, maintains current knowledge in area of practice, demonstrates knowledge of organizational and unit changes.

Conducts and documents comprehensive patient assessments with emphasis on promotion of health, prevention and early detection in order to plan and implement care directed toward optimal specific outcomes. Includes health counseling and teaching needs in assessments. Communicates assessment findings to other health care providers as appropriate.
