Regional Team Lead – Solar Farm O&M

FRUITION is seeking a Regional Team Lead for Solar Farm O&M in Leeds, UK. The role involves managing Field Service Engineers and General Operatives, overseeing performance management, health & safety compliance, and conducting maintenance on solar PV systems. Candidates should have at least 3 years of relevant experience in solar PV operations and team management. The position requires on-site presence and does not offer remote work.
Summary

Climate17 are working alongside a fully vertically integrated renewable energy company that own and operate their own portfolio of large-scale solar farms across the UK.

They are searching for a Regional Team Lead will be responsible for managing the Field Service Engineers and General Operatives across the region. The individual will be expected to act as the immediate manager to all Field Service staff in their region; conducting performance reviews and general performance management, ensuring that health & safety and specific skills training is up to date and that competency checks are completed and documented.

The successful candidate will also continue to attend customers' sites, maintaining various solar PV systems on a day-to-day basis, alongside their team.

Responsibilities
• Responsible for the day-to-day personnel management of the Field Service team within your specific region, i.e, monitoring team competence, managing holiday requests and approvals, managing overtime submissions etc.
• Responsible for the overall performance of the Field Service team within your specific region, ensuring that corrective maintenance, testing and remedial work on deployed solar PV systems are completed to sufficient standard
• Responsible for overall Health & Safety compliance within the Field Service team within your specific region
• Undertake regular PPM and reactive maintenance duties as part of the Field Service team within your specific region

Requirements
• 3 years Solar PV O&M Experience on Utility Scale Solar
• 3 years Network diagnostics & Remote communications experience
• 3 years LV/HV Planned Preventative maintenance, G59 Competent
• Knowledge of power electronics and circuitry, power generation technologies and equipment
• Excellent understanding of CCTV systems and health and safety on site
• Understanding of G59 and G99 Mains Protection Relays
• Familiarity with Earthing Systems - including measuring and monitoring Relays
• Excellent understanding of Central/String Inverters with relevant Manufacturers training
• Experience in managing teams, creating, and monitoring rotas and performance management
• City & Guilds 2399-13-Solar PV Installation
• City & Guilds 2399-14-Solar PV maintenance or equivalent
• City & Guilds 2391-52 Test & Inspect or equivalent
• SSSTS, SMSTS, IOSH managing safely or equivalent
• City & Guilds 17/18th BS7671 Wiring Regs.
• AP15/OP40 – Certified
