The Regional Procurement Lead is responsible for the oversight of all aspects of hospital and hospital-based purchasing, closely working with the System Procurement Manager as the day-to-day lead overseeing the dedicated regional jurisdiction(s); MD lead will oversee 7 hospitals in the Baltimore Metro Area and DC lead will oversee 3 hospitals in the DC metro area. Serve as regional lead for implementing strategic initiatives, priorities, performance improvement initiatives and special projects across the region, with particular focus on project management support for System Pharmacy. Manages key operational and financial reports and conducts data analysis.

Areas and scope of oversight would include: managing compliance with NDC purchasing requirements, overseeing hospital and distribution site 340B and 503B accounts, managing and coordinating distributions models across the region, establishing and overseeing emergency cache and supplies, and tracking and managing waste to support waste reduction strategies. The regional procurement lead is also responsible for leading shortage management processes and acute product changes, ensuring alignment with both pharmacy buyers and local supply chain leads to maintain necessary products, serving as the owner of the Drug Supply Chain Security Act compliance vendor for the region, and managing compliance with all Drug Supply Chain Security Act requirements. .
