Recycling Operative

Veolia UK is hiring a Recycling Operative for their Fair Oak Household Waste Recycling Centre in Stafford. The role involves assisting the public with waste disposal, ensuring safety, and maintaining cleanliness. The position offers a salary of £12.21 per hour, 28 days of annual leave, and various benefits. Candidates should have manual handling experience and be prepared to work outdoors in all weather conditions across a 7-day schedule.

Hours - Working across 7 days per week including bank holidays

You will have two regular weekdays off per week

Spring Hours 0845-1715

Summer Hours 0845-1815

Winter Hours 0845-1615

Location - Fair Oak Household Waste Recycling Centre, SO50 7DZ

What will you be doing?
• Assisting members of the public at the household recycling centre with waste and recycling disposal
• Ensure the health and safety of all members of the public, visitors, staff and contractors at the site.
• Ensure that materials on site are recycled as much as possible.
• Ensure that the facility is left in a clean condition and any spillages are cleaned up before leaving the area
• Operate the IT Tablet based booking system
• Trade waste control

What are we looking for?
• Similar operational manual handling experience

This role involves manual handling and working outdoors in all weather conditions.
