Job Description

As our R&D manager, you'll be a self-starter with expertise in developing new technology areas that leverage existing capabilities and expertise. You'll lead a team of civil engineers to create innovative solutions for carbon capture and utilisation in concrete.

Key Responsibilities:
• Developing and implementing research strategies to advance sustainable construction practices
• Leveraging expertise to create innovative materials and techniques for carbon capture and utilisation
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate R&D findings into product development
• Leading a team of civil engineers to achieve project goals and objectives

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:
• 10 years of post-PhD experience leading independent research in sustainable construction or a related field
• Proven expertise in laboratory setup, HSE requirements, equipment specification development, and procurement
• Understanding of carbonation mechanisms and critical assessment of CO2 uptake and concrete performance
• Exceptional team management and leadership skills
• R&D experience in the construction industry
