About the role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-driven R&D Intern - Sustainable Packaging to support our packaging development team. In this role, you will support various sustainability initiatives within the packaging procurement team. Your responsibilities will include conducting research on sustainable materials and packaging technologies, analyzing the environmental impact of current solutions, and proposing improvements. You will assist in testing new sustainable materials for durability and cost-effectiveness, and support the design of packaging that minimizes waste and maximizes recyclability. Additionally, you will gather data on packaging performance and sustainability metrics, prepare reports to track progress and identify areas for improvement, and ensure compliance with PPWR and EPR regulations. You will also contribute by sharing insights on the latest trends and innovations in sustainable packaging, fostering continuous improvement. Coordination with suppliers to source sustainable materials will also be an important part of your role. This role will provide critical support in research, design, compliance, and innovation, helping our company navigate industry challenges and transformation towards a more sustainable business model.

So, what does it take to be successful in this role?
• Currently pursuing a degree in Environmental Science, Materials Science, Industrial Design or any other similar.
• Interest in consumer goods, packaging, sustainability.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Power BI; modelling software is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and willingness to learn and contribute to the organization.
