Job Description
HB Consultants LLC is seeking a Quality Systems Engineer with ISO 9001 and Six Sigma expertise in Denver, CO. The role involves ensuring and improving the Quality Management System (QMS), conducting audits, and leading corrective actions. Candidates should have a strong background in quality engineering, problem-solving, and familiarity with manufacturing processes. A BS in engineering is preferred, along with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
Description
Serve a critical role in ensuring processes are in control and continually improved. This position requires skills and initiative in problem solving, auditing, procedure writing, measurement systems, SPC, and Six Sigma. A good familiarity with the ISO 9001 Quality Management System standard, current edition, is necessary to lead and assist coworkers toward company objectives. The position reports to the Director of Technical & Quality Systems and may include direct supervision of Quality Technicians when assigned. You will ensure and improve the effectiveness of the Quality Management System (QMS) to achieve Quality Objectives.

Skills
• Familiarity with the ISO 9001 Quality Management System standard
• Problem-solving and auditing skills
• Proficiency in Six Sigma methodologies
• Strong competency in SPC, MSA, Auditing, and Calibration
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures
• Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, and communication skills
• High attention to detail and organizational skills
Responsibilities
• Ensure and improve the effectiveness of the Quality Management System (QMS)
• Maintain QMS to satisfy the ISO 9001 standard
• Perform internal procedural and process audits
• Participate in external audits
• Lead effective Corrective and Preventive Actions
• Calibration and MSA of measuring and monitoring systems
• Investigate and report quality issues
• Train personnel as appropriate
• Coordinate weekend coverage for the Quality Department
Qualifications
• Good familiarity and experience with ISO 9001
• Six Sigma Green Belt required; Black Belt or CQE preferred
• 2+ years direct experience in a quality/process engineering role in manufacturing
• Experience in heavy manufacturing industry desired
• Familiarity with PFMEA, Control Plans, Kaizen, SMED, and other lean tools
• Ability to present information logically to different levels of the organization
Education Requirements
• BS in Metallurgical, Chemical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering preferred but not required
Education Requirements Credential Category
• Engineering degree preferred
Experience Requirements
• At least 2 years of experience as a quality and/or process engineer in manufacturing
