We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Production Assistant to join our team at the Keyser Ave. Facility. As a Production Assistant, you will assist the extrusion operator in efficiently operating the extrusion equipment and producing quality products within a large, 24/7 manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with all health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements and regulations.
• Product Quality: Collaborate with the department to produce quality products according to product specifications.
• Quality Control: Perform quality checks to ensure product quality meets standards before packaging.
• Packing and Material Handling: Package finished materials correctly and move materials to designated areas as directed.
• Maintenance Support: Assist the extrusion operator with machine cleaning duties, including saws and tanks, when necessary.
Requirements
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a related field preferred.
• Basics of computer operation required.
• English language reading, writing, and comprehension skills required.
• Mathematical skills for basic arithmetic operations required.
