QC Laboratory Technician

Nouryon is seeking a QC Laboratory Technician in Green Bay, WI, responsible for quality assurance activities, conducting analyses, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. The role includes participating in continuous improvement efforts, managing lab equipment, and supporting the Quality Manager. Candidates should have a degree in Chemistry or a related field and experience in a lab setting. This is a permanent, full-time position requiring on-site work.
About the Job: The QC Lab Technician role at Nouryon involves supporting quality assurance and control activities at the Green Bay sites. This includes conducting various analyses, prioritizing tasks, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. The role also involves participating in continuous improvement efforts and managing lab equipment and supplies. In your future role QC Lab Technician you will: Ensure compliance with all safety regulations Actively participate in continuous improvement and 5S activities Support and execute the site Quality Control Plan and ISO/Responsible Care Participate in the Behavior Based Safety (BBS) program Execute standard procedures and methods for analysis Perform chemical and instrumental analyses on various samples Accurately record analysis observations and notes Coordinate and prioritize shift workload for the lab Report results to relevant departments using approved methods Maintain a neat, clean, and safe work area Maintain and improve lab equipment Manage lab supplies and spare parts Oversee and manage retain sample storage Support the Quality Manager in assigned tasks Strive for improvements in lab processes, environment, and equipment We believe you bring: Education: AA/BA/BS Degree in Chemistry or related field (required) BSc Chemistry (preferred) Experience: Experience in a lab or R&D setting (required) Experience within a PSM-RMP covered site (preferred) Skills: Ability to read and write in English Ability to lift approximately 25 lbs. Ability to work in a plant environment and in a team-oriented environment Ability to wear safety shoes, safety glasses, hard hat, and respirator if needed Advanced skills in PC (spreadsheets, Microsoft Office) Good organizational and analytical skills Knowledge of SAP, ISO-9001, and RC-14001 Nice-to-haves: Ability to read and write in English and Swedish Specialist-level knowledge in Measurement System Analysis (MSA) and Continuous Improvement methodologies Creative problem-solving skills Knowledge of Continuous Improvement (L6S, DMAIC), Enablon, and EPI-MES Good to know: This is a permanent position on a full-time basis, reporting to the QC Lab Supervisor in Green Bay, WI.
