Public Health Environmental Officer II

Location: 24 - HARRISON COUNTY, MS. Salary: $31,111.11 - $46,713.34 annually.

Second‑level professional position in District 9 – Southern MS area, accountable for environmental TB health work that requires analysis and judgment under guidance or within the framework of defined policies or varied procedures and practices to determine the appropriate course of action.

Responsibilities
• Perform investigative and staff work, educating and counseling related to prevention.
• Interview cases and contacts concerning behaviors or activities that contribute to transmission.
• Obtain relevant information concerning those exposed or infected and ensure compliance.

What You’ll Need to Be Successful

Works independently as well as with a team. Complete contact interviews. Follow up on schedules for patients.

Minimum Qualifications

Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree and 2–4 years of experience.
