Morson Talent is seeking an experienced Senior Bid Writer to join our dynamic and growing team at our Manchester headquarters. This role is ideal for a skilled writer with a passion for creating compelling, high-quality bid content and leading the development of winning tenders. Reporting to the Bid & Proposal Lead, you will take ownership of bid responses, ensuring they are engaging, persuasive, and aligned with our strategic objectives.

Role Overview:

You will be responsible for crafting, managing, and refining bid and proposal content that effectively communicates our value proposition. You will play a key role in shaping high-quality submissions, ensuring clarity, consistency, and alignment with client requirements.

Person Specification:
• Bid Writing Expertise: Proven experience in bid writing with a track record of creating high-quality, successful tender responses.
• Exceptional Writing & Editing Skills: Ability to develop compelling, persuasive, and well-structured content tailored to different audiences.
• Tender Leadership: Experience leading the full bid writing process, from pre-bid preparation to submission.
• Industry Knowledge: Ideally, experience in recruitment, professional services, construction, rail, or related industries.
• Attention to Detail: Ability to analyse client requirements and ensure bid content is accurate, consistent, and aligned with key messaging.
• Organisational & Time Management Skills: Comfortable working to tight deadlines and managing multiple bid projects simultaneously.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Strong ability to collaborate with subject matter experts and internal teams to develop comprehensive responses.
• Education & Creativity: Ideally educated to degree level, with a passion for innovation and fresh approaches to bid writing.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead Bid Content Creation: Develop, structure, and refine written responses that effectively articulate Morson Talent’s value proposition.
• Support Pre-Bid Activities: Engage with internal teams to understand client requirements and develop a winning strategy ahead of tender release.
• Manage Tender Responses: Take ownership of bid writing from initial kick-off meetings to final submission, ensuring high-quality and deadline adherence.
• Ensure Consistency & Quality: Review and edit content to maintain a consistent tone, clarity, and alignment with win themes.
• Work Cross-Functionally: Collaborate with subject matter experts, sales teams, and other stakeholders to gather insights and develop tailored responses.
• Bid Process Compliance: Ensure all submissions follow internal governance, brand guidelines, and compliance requirements.
• Continuous Improvement: Support the refinement of bid processes, content libraries, and best practices to enhance future submissions.
