This is a hands-on role focused on restoring properties affected by fire, flood, and other damage. You will carry out controlled strip-out works, install and monitor drying equipment, and undertake technical cleaning and decontamination processes to return properties to a safe and recoverable condition ahead of reinstatement.


The role requires strong practical skills, a thorough approach to safety, and the ability to follow technical drying and decontamination plans.\n \nKey Responsibilities\n \n


\nCarry out controlled strip-out of damaged materials including flooring, plasterboard, insulation, fixtures, and fittings\n


Prepare buildings following fire or flood damage for restoration and reinstatement works\n


Install drying equipment including dehumidifiers, air movers, heaters, and environmental control equipment\n


Monitor drying progress and record moisture readings using approved equipment\n


Adjust drying equipment under instruction to achieve effective drying conditions\n


Carry out technical cleaning and decontamination works following fire, smoke, or water damage\n


Use specialist cleaning products and equipment to remove soot, smoke residues, or contamination\n


Protect unaffected areas of properties during restoration works\n


Maintain accurate site records including moisture readings and equipment log\n


Carry out works in accordance with health and safety regulations, including relevant RAMS documentation\n


Attend training sessions, toolbox talks, and team meetings as required\n\n \nSkills, Knowledge, and Expertise\n \nEssential Requirements:\n \n
\nExperience working in property restoration, damage management, or construction environments\n


Understanding of water damage drying principles and restoration processes\n


Ability to carry out controlled strip-out works safely and efficiently\n


Ability to operate restoration and drying equipment\n


Good attention to detail when recording readings and monitoring drying progress\n
Full UK driving licence\n


Can-do attitude with an adaptable approach to work in a varied and sometimes challenging environment\nDesirable:\n \n
\nBDMA Technician qualification or working towards\n


Experience working within insurance restoration or damage management sectors\n
