NES Fircroft is seeking a skilled Project Scheduler with 5–8 years of experience to support the planning and scheduling function on high-value capital works across mining and resources. This role will give you the opportunity to influence project delivery timelines and ensure scheduling accuracy within a multidisciplinary project controls team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 across all project phases (design, procurement, construction, commissioning).
• Integrate Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and Cost Breakdown Structures (CBS) into scheduling models.
• Conduct critical path analysis, scenario planning, and what-if simulations to forecast outcomes.
• Work closely with project managers, cost controllers, and engineers to ensure accurate inputs and ongoing schedule integrity.
• Support progress measurement and reporting, including schedule variance analysis and performance dashboards.
What You’ll Bring:
• 5–8 years of experience in project scheduling, ideally within mining, infrastructure, or oil & gas.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6 and scheduling methodologies (CPM, resource loading, earned schedule).
• Strong understanding of project lifecycle planning and interdependencies between engineering, procurement, and construction.
• Exceptional attention to detail, communication skills, and the ability to work across cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with reporting tools such as Power BI, Excel, or SAP is highly desirable.
Qualifications:
• Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Project Management.
• Formal training or certifications in Primavera P6 or scheduling best practices are advantageous.
