Your role at GEI.

Our Raleigh, NC office is seeking an Environmental Engineer, Geologist, or Environmental Scientist with a background in environmental site assessment and remediation to join our multi-talented team. With a focus on large-scale and multi-disciplinary environmental projects, our team supports a variety of environmental projects primarily throughout the South and Midwest. Under supervision of senior staff, you will be responsible for leading field investigations and support data analysis, report preparation, and remedial evaluations of contaminated sites.

Essential Responsibilities & Duties
• Provide technical oversight for complex field assignments or construction management as needed. Overnight and weekly travel may be necessary to lead these field teams depending on scope and staffing.
• Perform data management and analysis, prepare reports and technical presentations for delivery to clients and regulators.
• Support development of conceptual site models, remediation strategies or design packages depending on specialty.
• Develop scopes of work and proposals.

• Provide mentorship and training for junior staff.

Minimum Qualifications
• BS in Civil or Environmental Engineering, Geology, or related degree; MS is a plus.
• GIT/EIT, PG/PE, or ability to obtain.
• 2-6 years of professional experience in environmental consulting.
• 40-hour HAZWOPER training.
• Excellent computer skills with MS Office suite. Other technical software such as GIS, AutoCAD, 3D visualization, etc. a plus
• Excellent written and verbal communication and organization skills
• Willingness and ability to travel on short-term or long-term assignments as needed.
• Valid Driver’s License.
