Job Description
BRAC is seeking a Project Officer for the Water, Rain for Life, Climate Change Programme in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Candidates should have a diploma or B.Sc. in relevant engineering fields and at least 2 years of experience in the development sector, particularly in safe water options and climate change adaptation. Requirements

Responsibilities & Context
JOB PURPOSE:
Responsible for field overall field level implementation of project activities as per programme requirement coordination with concerned management and programme participants. S/he also responsible for maintaining regular communication and follow up with the programme participants who will be benefited from the field level implementations and project interventions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Responsible to prepare operational plan for the filed level project activities implementations.
• Ensure community mobilization, formulation/reactivation/facilitation of participants
• Programme participants selection according to the criteria
• Provide services to the targeted communities within the limited timeframe;
• Perform awareness raising and capacity building activities
• Distribution of materials for rain water harvesting as per project design
• Managing relationships with contractors, partners, and other stakeholders to ensure delivery of the programme outputs at field level
• Develop strategic partnership and networks with the relevant stakeholders at field level.
• Provide support in overall implementation, monitoring and reporting of field level programme activities
• Assist finance, account and MEAL team with adequate information when necessary
• Maintain sharing of lessons learnt and best practices from major programme intervention;
• Coordinate with admin and procure necessary materials for implementation
• Ensuring quality implementation, compliance and awareness raising for longevity of the water options
SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme’s goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
• Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
• Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
