Plan International is seeking a Project Officer for a Renewable Energy Project in Lalibela, Ethiopia. Duties and Responsibilities:
The job holder is responsible to coordinate the implementation of the project at district level in collaboration with partners, local stakeholder’s community renewable energy committees. Moreover, she or he will provide professional work involving supervision and coordination of the installation, and maintenance of the solar power unit systems and Fuel Saving Stoves (FSS) and capacity building support to direct beneficiaries to sustain the results of the project.
- Supervise the installation implantation of solar energy unity systems/equipments to provide a useful and quality standard work;
- Ensure works are made as per the design and specification and procedures are followed by the contractors as per the contract agreement;
- Mobilization and organize the community for full participation in the project implementation in the organization of committees;
- Ensure the community especially children and women are fully participate in the organization of committees;
- ensure steering committee is established and follow up of the meeting of the steering committee is made regularly;
- Coordinate the overall district activities of the project in consultation with project manager/ national project coordinator in collaboration with local stakeholders and partners;
- Facilitate and organize trainings and workshops that are to be made at regional and district level;
- Provide technical support to the Partner Technician’s in the production and dissemination of FSS;
- Carry out other tasks given by the Project Manager of CMREP/Program Unit Manager that are found necessary for the project to be successful;
-Be accounted for the Program unity manger for the project to be manger of CMREP in discharging all duties and responsibilities;
- Ensure proper management of the project budget and other resources strictly In line with the Project Document/ Budget revised and given to the PU.
