As an Energy Storage Project Manager, you are a hands-on leader with exceptional communication skills. You are responsible for delivering engineering projects in collaboration with customers and sonnen procurement, supply chain, and engineering teams. You will manage the various aspects and phases of a project life cycle, ensuring adherence to enterprise, program management standards, frameworks, and processes. This role requires regular communication with customers and internal teams to provide project-level support for all projects supporting the sonnen business. The ideal candidate has a proven track record in planning and executing multiple parallel projects and working with international cross-functional teams. This role will perform real project execution for customer projects. This position requires flexibility with traveling to support multiple projects in various geographical regions.
Responsibilities
• Develop and execute project plans for Large-Scale ESS (Energy Storage System) projects accelerating the company's progress towards a sustainable energy future.

• Lead project execution in collaboration with the customer's project manager and sonnen's Program Management, Technical, Supply chain, and procurement team.

• Create and review project schedules, cost estimation, bill of materials, budgets, scopes of work, standards, and quotes from suppliers.
,
• Supervise project implementation to assure cost, time, quality, and execution guidelines according to schedule.
,
• Interact with customers on a routine basis to understand project requirements and timeline when the project enters the execution phase.
,
• Manage all parties involved (internal and external) and ensure professional project management from system integration to installation/commissioning phase.
,
• Define and drive risk mitigation plans for projects. Define trade-offs and lead contingency option assessments when needed, then select and execute mitigation plans.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Management, or another related engineering science; Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred.

• Minimum total 7 years' experience in the renewable energy industry.
,
• Minimum 4 years' direct project management experience, able to understand project requirements, customer needs and communicate to customers effectively.
,
• Professional experience in management and completion of large-scale projects, preferably in solar, energy storage or other utility-scale construction projects.
,
• Strong understanding of engineering technical issues/needs, manufacturing, supply chain, service, customer service, finance, sales, and marketing as related to project engineering.

• Has independently overseen multi-million-dollar projects.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, specifically MS project software to generate project schedules.
,
• Demonstrated ability in managing and delivering results for multiple projects simultaneously, balancing resources, timing and quality of outcomes.

• Self-driven, highly motivated, flexible, and high capacity to learn.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
