Georgia-Pacific LLC is seeking a Project Manager for their Demolition Program, responsible for managing multiple demolition projects across facilities. Georgia-Pacific’s Pulp, Power, and Recovery Capital Projects & Engineering Team is seeking qualified professionals to consider for our Demolition Program Project Manager role. The individual in this role will provide Project Management expertise to support demolition prep activities at all facilities across the business. Project Managers will typically be assigned multiple projects to manage simultaneously.

This is a remote role, but will have 50-75% travel, on average.

Our Team

The Georgia-Pacific Projects and Engineering Team consists of individuals across the United States working with our 28 continuous manufacturing facilities on demolition project execution. We are engineers, project managers, subject matter experts, and designers focused on the completion of demolition projects that deliver on the project bets while meeting or exceeding industry results for schedule and cost. We partner with our mills as one team, one vision, one result.

What You Will Do
• Lead multi-discipline teams, external engineering firms, and vendors.
• Prepare and manage project schedules while tracking progress.
• Managing spend plan for each project and assist overall portfolio spending plan adherence.
• Lead and work with others to determine risk identification and develop mitigation strategy.
• Ensure compliance with internal and external safety and environmental standards and practices.
• Follow and update decommissioning standards to apply best practices associated with Mill infrastructure isolation, re-routing, and air-gapping in preparation for demolition. These standards facilitate the safe and successful execution of demolition projects by performing infrastructure decommissioning in the most cost-effective and logical sequence.
• Work with Engineering companies and Contractors to provide cost estimates for project development and evaluate scope of work alternatives.
• Assist in developing project scopes of work and creating Venture Summary Write-up (VSWs) to secure project funding.
• Collaborate with the Koch Global Remediation and Environmental Services (GRES) Demolition Project Manager to assist with and learn demolition techniques.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing industry
• A minimum of 1 years’ proven experience successfully leading and implementing engineering projects within manufacturing or similar industries
• Experience collaborating with different teams/contractors/stakeholders for projects

What Will Put You Ahead
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in an engineering or technical field
• Proficiency with MS Project software
• 5+ years’ experience in a manufacturing industry
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience of proven successful project management including development and execution
• Operational knowledge of pulp and paper mill processes and electrical systems

For this role, we anticipate paying $ 120k - $160k per year.
