RSK Ecology is seeking a Project Manager to oversee operations at their head office in Cardiff and on-site in Brize Norton, UK. Responsibilities include managing labor and equipment, ensuring health and safety compliance, and maintaining stakeholder relationships. The Vacancy

MSS Group, part of the RSK Group have an exciting new opportunity for an ambitious and driven individual to join their team as a Project Manager. The role will be split between the head office in Cardiff, UK and on site at Brize Norton, Oxfordshire, UK.

Please note this role will require the successful candidate to undergo security clearances checks.

Key Responsibilities
• Manage labour, plant, transport, and equipment on site, ensuring that all operations are carried out in a safe and legal manner and in accordance with the project plan.
• Direct teams in the works, monitoring the allocation of labour to ensure the tasks they carry out are within their level of skill and experience and that the correct tools and equipment are being utilised at all times.
• Ensure health and safety of all personnel on site and that site activities do not cause adverse environmental impact.
• Manage relationships with colleagues, customers, suppliers & stakeholders. Produce delivery programmes. Liaise with planners to ensure compliant to NEC / Contract standards.

• Drive cultural standards of behaviours for Home Safe, Fairness and Respect, Sustainable Solutions and Nurturing Success accordance with our Commitments. Monitoring and review and performance of site staff, including performance appraisals and disciplinaries.
• Travelling when required / needed. Carry out quality and safety inspections.
• Onboarding, allocating and managing Sub Contractors and sub contract labour
• Motivating the teams

Skills & Experience Required
• Experienced in the Construction Industry on long term projects.
• PRINCE2 qualified (Or similar).
• Ability to work in a fast- paced environment.
• NEC 3&4 Contract knowledge, including drafting notifications and supporting programming.
• Set standards of health and safety.
• Experience of leading a team of site workers.
• Experience of planning and organising own workload.
• Ability to manage customer, supplier & stakeholder relationships.
• Good verbal and written skills.
• Knowledge of health and safety legislation.
• Knowledge of CDM and industry requirements.
• Awareness of employment legislation and best practice.
• Computer literacy, MS Office suite.
• Ability to identify problems and devise solutions.
• Ability to meet targets and deadlines, often under difficult conditions.
• Ability to manage a team or task in accordance with the project plan.
• Willingness to undertake training and development.
• Produce complex project specific RAMS.
• Take off materials from drawings and schedule for procurement.

Qualifications

Mandatory
• CSCS.
• NVQ level 6 or 7.
• Full UK driving licence.
• First aid.

Desirable
• SMSTS.
• NEBOSH Health and Safety Management for Construction (UK).
• IOSH Managing Safely.
• Temporary Works Coordinator.
• Knowledge of asbestos regulations.
