Atlas is seeking a full-time Project Manager for Asset Renewal at LAX, focusing on early-phase infrastructure projects. Responsibilities include managing project scope, schedule, budget, and quality while coordinating with multiple stakeholders. The ideal candidate has 15+ years of experience in large-scale infrastructure projects, particularly in airports, and holds relevant certifications. This position is based in Los Angeles, CA, and requires on-site presence.

Position: Project Manager – Asset Renewal (Early Works)
Location: Los Angeles, CA (Full-Time, On-Site at LAX)
We are seeking a Project Manager to support the Asset Renewal Program at LAX, specifically focused on Early Works initiatives. This full-time, on-site role will oversee the planning, design, and execution of early-phase projects, with an emphasis on schedule certainty, budget adherence, safety, and quality. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience leading complex infrastructure or airport projects and will coordinate across multiple departments and stakeholders to ensure seamless project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
• Act as the primary liaison and owner’s representative for Early Works projects
• Manage project scope, schedule, budget, risk, and quality from design through closeout
• Oversee consultants and contractors through all phases of design, procurement, construction, and commissioning
• Support procurement efforts including RFP development and contract management
• Lead stakeholder coordination with LAWA, consultants, and internal teams
• Ensure compliance with all permitting, technical specifications, and regulatory requirements
• Conduct field investigations and site inspections; resolve design and constructability issues
• Monitor project risks, maintain documentation, and prepare regular progress and risk reports
• Manage the design process, change orders, and contractor payments to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery
• Champion a strong safety and quality culture across the project lifecycle
• Drive successful project closeout with complete documentation and minimal delays
Qualifications:
• 15+ years of relevant experience, preferably on airport or large-scale infrastructure projects
• Experience managing projects valued at $50M+
• Familiarity with delivery methods such as Design-Bid-Build, CMAR, and Design-Build
• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Planning, or related field (Master’s preferred)
• Relevant certifications strongly preferred (e.g., PMP, PE, LEED, AAAE, AICP)
• Proven leadership and project management capabilities
• Excellent communication skills and deep understanding of industry standards and regulatory practices
Compensation:
$150k-175k
The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the state’s law. Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.
