Job Overview:

We are seeking a Project Manager to lead and oversee environmental consulting projects from initiation to completion. The successful candidate will be responsible for project planning, execution, team coordination, and client relations while ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
• AI & LLM Integration: Utilize artificial intelligence (AI) and large language models (LLMs) to optimize project workflows, data analysis, and reporting efficiencies.
• Project Management: Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of environmental consulting projects, ensuring quality, timeline, and budget adherence.
• Client Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing strategic environmental solutions.
• Regulatory Compliance: Stay up-to-date with federal, provincial, and municipal environmental regulations, ensuring projects align with all legal requirements.
• Technical Oversight: Provide technical expertise in Environmental Site Assessments (Phase I, II, III), Reclamation, and Remediation processes.
• Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor project teams, including field staff, consultants, and subcontractors.
• Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to prevent delays and non-compliance issues.
• Proposal Development: Prepare and review project proposals, budgets, and cost estimates to support business development initiatives.
• Field Work Coordination: Oversee field activities such as soil sampling, groundwater monitoring, and remediation assessments.
• Data Analysis & Reporting: Review and interpret environmental data, preparing technical reports and recommendations for clients and regulatory agencies.
• Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure all project activities adhere to company and regulatory safety policies and best practices.

Qualifications & Experience:
• Experience leveraging AI tools and LLMs to streamline project management, automate reporting, and enhance decision-making.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in environmental science, Environmental Engineering, Geology or a related field and be a member in good standing of a Professional Regulatory Organization.
• 8+ years of experience in environmental consulting, with a strong background in site assessments, remediation, and reclamation.
• Proven experience managing multiple projects simultaneously, including budget control and client management.
• Strong understanding of environmental legislation and regulatory requirements (e.g., provincial environmental acts, CCME guidelines).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in GIS mapping, data analysis tools, and environmental software is an asset.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites as needed.
