Zenobe Energy Ltd. is seeking a Project Manager in Australia to oversee project delivery, ensuring adherence to health and safety policies, and managing construction and commissioning phases. The role involves collaborating with Senior Project Managers, supervising subcontractors, and reporting on project progress. Candidates should demonstrate flexibility and collaboration. Zenobe focuses on clean energy solutions and sustainability, aiming to facilitate the transition to zero carbon power and transport.
ABOUT ZENOBEOur goal is to make clean power accessible, to accelerate the shift to zero carbon power and transport.We’re building and operating the world’s most sophisticated battery systems to enable the uptake of more renewable power and accelerating fleet electrification, de-risking the transition to zero-emission transport at scale. At the end of their life, we repurpose electric vehicle batteries to provide clean power at depots, on construction sites and film sets.Today we have 730 MW of grid scale battery storage operational and under construction and we are the largest owner and operator of EV buses in the UK, Australia and New Zealand, supporting over 1,250 electric vehicles worldwide. Our Network Infrastructure division is the UK’s leading owner, operator and developer of transmission connected storage and has won numerous awards for its innovative battery energy storage projects.Our Australia team has been established for 5 years and currently consists of a growing and high performing team who have been responsible for winning and delivering successful projects across the Australia / New Zealand regions.A TASTE OF THE DAY TO DAYWork closely with the Senior Project Managers to deliver to project measures of successProvide escalation on project mattersLead projects from development and sales handover to client and O&M handoverResponsible for project construction, commissioning incl. day-to-day project managementResponsible for ensuring that all Health and Safety policies and procedures are adhered toEnsure projects are delivered on-time, within scope and budget and to the agreed designReview all project documents and information provided by a client/sub-contractor throughout the design processManages and supervises subcontractors’ PoW and scopeEnsure appropriate availability and allocation of resources as well as prepare weekly, and monthly progress reports both internally and for clientsCapture and report on any budget variations internallyResponsible for the handover of the project to the internal O&M teamAssess tender submissions and with a view of finding additional value if possibleIdentify opportunities to improve best practices within the organisationActively contribute to Zenobe's commitment to health and safety, wellbeing and sustainability by; integrating these principles into daily responsibilities, ensuring a safe and supportive work environment, promoting both the physical and mental health of self and colleagues, and adopting sustainable and energy-efficient practices to minimize environmental impact. Above all, Zenobē is looking for collaborative, flexible, empathetic people who are interested in creating and promoting practical routes to a zero carbon world.Must have an electrically biased background, demonstrating a strong understanding of Australian electrical services and installation methods, including cable and equipment sizingHave a solid understanding of electrical contracting and construction processesDemonstratable ability to engage with clients effectively, presenting design proposals and charging solutionsFully proficient in measuring and interpreting electrical drawingsDemonstrable experience of delivering infrastructure construction projectsDemonstrable site working / supervisory experience.Strong knowledge of H&S and Environmental regulations for design and construction, Quality standards and industry best practiceStrong stakeholder management experience in complex delivery environments & conflict resolutionPrevious experience in a client-facing roleStrong contract administration skillsStrong commercial experienceRecognised project management qualification and/or project controls experience.A desire to work in the renewable energy and green energy sector.Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel) and MS ProjectExhibits excellent planning and organisational abilitiesDemonstrates pragmatism, proactivity, and a solution-driven mindsetCapable of working under pressure and across multiple projects simultaneouslyFlexibility in terms of working locations, encompassing a combination of remote and office work,and on-site visits to conduct surveys and estimates and flexibility to visit sites in other statesFull local Driving LicenseWORKING AT ZENOBEWe’re passionate about sustainability and are proud to offer Team Zenobē a pioneering and collaborative working environment.
