Project Manager C&I Solar (8-12yrs exp)

Job Summary:

Osmium Tech Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Manager – C&I Solar to oversee the execution of solar energy projects in the Commercial & Industrial (C&I) segment. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in managing rooftop and ground-mounted solar installations, including design coordination, procurement, site execution, team management, and client communication.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan, execute, and manage end-to-end solar projects (C&I rooftop and ground-mount) as per timelines, cost, and quality benchmarks.
• Conduct site feasibility analysis, resource planning, and scheduling before project kickoff.
• Coordinate with design/engineering teams for layout finalization, BOQ, and technical documentation.
• Lead procurement planning and ensure timely delivery of equipment (modules, inverters, BOS, etc.).
• Manage on-site installation teams, vendors, and contractors to ensure adherence to project timelines.
• Monitor project progress, budget control, and quality assurance throughout the execution phase.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory approvals (DISCOM, CEIG, net metering, etc.).
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders for smooth commissioning and handover.
• Prepare and maintain project reports, MIS, site progress updates, and client documentation.
• Resolve on-site technical issues and escalate critical matters to senior management promptly.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering. (Diploma holders with strong experience may also be considered.)
• 4–8 years of project management experience in the solar EPC industry, with at least 2 years in the C&I solar segment.
• Strong understanding of solar PV systems, design, electrical installations, and relevant codes/standards.
• Familiarity with site execution, safety protocols, net metering, and government liaison.
• Proficient in MS Project / Excel / AutoCAD / project planning tools.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and team coordination skills.
• Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
Preferred Attributes:
• PMP certification or equivalent project management training (desirable).
• Knowledge of remote monitoring systems, SCADA, and solar analytics platforms.
• Prior experience handling multi-location projects or high-capacity (100 kW to multi-MW) solar plants.
• Exposure to O&M planning or after-sales service is a plus.
