Project Manager (Battery Energy Storage System)

VFlowTech is seeking a Project Manager for Battery Energy Storage Systems in Haryana, India. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining battery storage systems, ensuring safety, and optimizing performance. A BESS (Battery Energy Storage System) engineer is responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining battery storage systems, often used in conjunction with renewable energy sources, by overseeing the technical aspects of projects, ensuring safety standards are met, and optimizing system performance to store and deliver electricity efficiently.

Key Responsibilities of a BESS Engineer may include: -

System Design and Engineering: -
Selecting appropriate battery technologies based on BESS project requirements
Designing battery system layouts, considering power capacity, energy storage needs, and site constraints.
Calculating energy storage requirements and sizing battery systems.
Specifying power electronics and control systems for charging and discharging batteries.

Project Execution and Management: -
Collaborating with site engineers and contractors during installation and commissioning of BESS systems.
Overseeing system integration with grid infrastructure and other renewable energy sources.
Managing project timelines, budgets, and technical specifications.

Performance Monitoring and Optimization: -
Implementing monitoring systems to track battery health, performance metrics, and energy usage.
Analyzing data to identify potential issues and optimize system efficiency.
Implementing control algorithms to optimize charging and discharging strategies based on grid demand and energy costs.

Safety and Compliance: -
Ensuring adherence to all safety regulations and standards related to battery storage systems.
Developing safety procedures and protocols for operation and maintenance activities.

Technical Expertise: -
Staying updated on advancements in battery technology and energy storage systems.
Understanding electrical grid operations and power quality considerations.
Proficient in relevant software tools for system modeling, simulation, and data analysis.

Qualification:

Bachelors degree in electrical engineering, Power Engineering, or a related field.

5+ Years experience in BESS.

In depth knowledge of Battery Energy storage Systems.

Strong understanding of electrical power systems and battery technology.

Experience with power electronics, control systems, and grid integration.

Proficiency in engineering design software and data analysis tools.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
