Spencer Ogden is seeking a Project Manager for a contract position based in Dallas County, AL, primarily remote with up to three office visits per quarter. The role involves overseeing substation, wind, solar, and BESS projects, managing timelines, budgets, and resources, and engaging with stakeholders. Remote: Mainly remote, Must be in office up to 3 times per quarter

Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Project Manager to join our team and oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of Substation, wind, solar, and BESS projects. The successful candidate will manage project timelines, budgets, and resources while ensuring that projects are completed to the highest standards. This role requires excellent project management skills, a solid understanding of renewable energy technologies, and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
• Project Planning and Coordination: Develop detailed project plans, including scope, schedule, and resource allocation. Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, and suppliers to ensure project milestones are met.
• Execution and Delivery: Manage all phases of the project lifecycle, from initiation through completion. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders. Communicate project status, manage expectations, and address any issues or concerns.
• Budget Management: Prepare and manage project budgets. Track expenditures and ensure that costs are controlled and aligned with project financial plans.
• Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies. Proactively address any issues that arise to minimize impacts on project timelines and deliverables.
• Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure that all projects comply with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices. Implement quality assurance processes to meet industry standards and client requirements.
• Team Leadership: Lead and support project teams, including engineers, contractors, and other project staff. Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.
• Reporting: Prepare regular project reports and updates for senior management and stakeholders. Provide insights and recommendations for project improvements.
• Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Renewable Energy, or a related field. A relevant certification such as PMP (Project Management Professional) is advantageous.
• 4-6 years of experience in project management, with a focus on wind, solar, and/or BESS projects.
• Strong understanding of renewable energy technologies and project management methodologies.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and effectively prioritize tasks.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Familiarity with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and general office applications.
