Project Manager

Waste Warriors is seeking a Project Manager for their Rishikesh office to lead solid waste management initiatives. The role involves managing the local team, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring project deliverables are met. Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree, over 5 years of project management experience, and preferably background in waste management. The position is full-time and focused on improving community waste management practices.

To be a catalyst for practical and community led Solid Waste Management (SWM) initiatives in rural, urban, and protected areas and to pioneer replicable models of resource management, innovative practices, research and education in the field of solid waste management. To improve working conditions for waste workers and take positive steps towards integrating the unorganized waste sector into the formal Solid Waste Management (SWM) industry whilst reducing the stigma attached to waste.

What You Will Do:

● Manage our Rishikesh office and team dedicated for this project.

● Coordinate with the Aviral team lead to ensure strategic alignment, effective planning, and timely engagement of both stakeholders and audiences.

● Supervise the team to ensure precise implementation of the project at local levels & report to Aviral team lead and GIZ project managers and coordinators.

● Ensure timely documentation and reporting of offline and online project activities.

● Ensuring all targets and deliverables of the project are met to ensure the whole team can have maximum impact within the project’s timeframe.

What You Should Have:

● Demonstrated passion towards solving socio-environmental issues.

● A relevant Bachelor’s degree is a minimum. We do also care about your proven skills & abilities.

● 5+ years experience in project management and leading teams.

● Experience of working in the waste management sector will be given preference.

● Regional knowledge & work experience in Uttarakhand preferred.
