Shape Safer Environments with Precision and Expertise!
We are seeking a Project Industrial Hygienist I who is a skilled communicator and proactive problem-solver, ready to take on complex asbestos, lead, and mold assessments. You will travel to project sites to conduct assessments, clearance testing, and monitoring activities, while ensuring compliance with industry regulations. The ideal candidate brings a meticulous, science-based approach to hazard assessment and control, with a strong technical foundation in industrial hygiene practices. You will exercise discretion and independent judgment in collecting samples, managing projects, and providing actionable recommendations based on comprehensive data analysis. As an EHS leader, you’ll help build a safety-focused team by training and mentoring new staff. Strong communication skills are essential, as you’ll collaborate with clients, field staff, and team members to ensure safety compliance and foster a healthy work environment. What You’ll Do:
• Conduct asbestos, lead, and mold assessments, clearance testing, and project monitoring at client sites.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including EPA, OSHA, and local guidelines.
• Collect samples and create necessary documentation using web-based tools.
• Provide recommendations for handling hazardous materials and ensure safety protocols are followed.
• Train new staff and provide mentorship to build a knowledgeable, safety-conscious team.
• Manage communication with clients, field technicians, and project teams to ensure smooth project execution.
What You Bring:
• DOSH Certified Site Surveillance Technician (CSST) certification.
• CDPH Lead Sampling Technician certification.
• 1-3 years of industry experience, with hands-on expertise in hazardous materials assessments.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
• The ability to safely operate an XRF analyzer and manage environmental data with precision.
• Ability to work in the field as needed, and availability to work long hours, including weekends, overtime and double time.
