Metlen Energy and Metals is seeking a Project Finance Officer to join our team in London, United Kingdom.

Reporting to the Treasury Manager, the Project Finance Officer will assess, analyze, and execute the financing of projects in Europe

Your Role Will Encompass
• Support TGPF team with the assessment, analysis and execution of utility scale solar PV, battery storage and wind project financings in Europe. This includes:
• Develop, maintain and refine complex financial models to evaluate project feasibility, financing options, and investment returns.
• Assist in structuring, negotiating, and closing project finance transactions, including preparation of term sheets, financing agreements, and due diligence.
• Conduct research on energy markets, financing trends, and regulatory changes to support project development and financing strategies.
• Work closely with internal teams (e.g., business development, legal, and treasury) and external stakeholders (e.g., lenders, advisors, and investors) to ensure successful project execution.
• Analyze key project risks and propose mitigation strategies, ensuring compliance with company policies and risk appetite.
• Prepare presentations, investment memos, and reports for senior management and investment committees.
• Identify opportunities to streamline project finance workflows, enhance modeling tools, and improve overall team efficiency.

What you Bring to the Role:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Engineering or related field
• Master’s Degree will be an asset
• CFA, ACA or other finance designation highly desirable
• 1-3 years of experience in a finance/business analytics role
• Experience in Renewables or Energy Infrastructure sector highly valued
• Proven experience in financing modelling and analysis
• Sound understanding of corporate and project finance principles
• Experience with investment analysis, basic accounting/tax and business valuation, and basic principles of corporate law
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
